Material Selection for SLS

When selecting materials for SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), the intended use of the component is crucial. SLS materials – especially polyamide (e.g., PA12) – are characterized by high strength, good temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and uniform mechanical properties. Since no support structures are required in the SLS process, complex geometries and functional components can also be realized. Depending on the application, the material can be optimally selected for prototypes, durable functional components, or series production.
